TOP INDUSTRY LEADERS DISCUSS FUTURE OF GOLD MINING AT EGYPT MINING FORUM IN CAIRO

We are delighted to announce that Christopher Barriteau, CFO of Tresor Gold, participated alongside distinguished panelists today at the @Egypt Mining Forum in Cairo to discuss the current challenges and opportunities for junior gold miners.

Tony Lawson, our CEO, is also attending this important mining conference, sharing Tresor Gold’s operational experiences from West Africa, as Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources seeks to expand the mining sector’s contribution to GDP 10X, from 0.5% to 5.0% by 2030. It’s an exciting opportunity for us to showcase our expertise and contribute to the discussions regarding exploration & development of African projects to build sustainable gold supply chains. 🗣️🌍

Tony and Chris also participated in a Strategic Leadership Roundtable discussion hosted by His Excellency, Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The discussion was expertly moderated by Patrick Barnes, Head of Metals & Mining Consulting at Wood Mackenzie. Key highlights included H.E. Tarek El Molla sharing Egypt’s advancements in mining laws and policies to promote more transparency and efficiency in the permitting process, and reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to make further enhancements.

His Excellency, Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, echoed H.E. Molla’s sentiment of expanding exploration and development of the MENA region, more specifically the Arabian-Nubian Shield mineral complex, and highlighting how Saudi Arabia has implemented similar policies in their country. Other brilliant industry leaders participating in today’s discussion were James Ferguson, SVP of Barrick Gold; Martin Horgan, CEO at Centamin, and Ghada Kandil, Chief Representative at BNY Mellon.
